Ernesto Marenco
(geb. 1960 Mexiko-Stadt) Marenco, Sohn eines exilierten nicaraguanischen Dichters und Politikers, war von Kindheit an von Künstlern, Malern, Schriftstellern und Dichtern umgeben, die aus dem spanischen Bürgerkrieg nach Mexiko und Ländern in Mittel- und Südamerika verbannt worden waren. Marenco ist ein Künstler oder visueller Poet, der seit mehr als 35 Jahren die Sprache der Poesie in Alltagsgegenstände übersetzt. Seine Objekte drücken eine besondere und engagierte Art und einen großen Sinn für Humor aus. Der Künstler stellte seine Arbeiten in internationalen Galerien und Museen aus und produzierte mehr als 20 Buchumschläge in Lateinamerika, hauptsächlich Gedichtbände, was ihn zu einem der führenden Vertreter zeitgenössischer mexikanischer Kunstobjekte macht. Marenco lebt und arbeitet derzeit in Houston, Texas.
